Family day on the grass at Debowiec
For a family day on a blanket there is no better address in Bielsko-Biala than Debowiec, at the foot of Szyndzielnia. Gentle slopes, meadows and scenic clearings, playgrounds, a rope park and a year-round toboggan run with a heated surface create a natural, less formal space for families with children.
In summer there are seasonal attractions under the Discover Debowiec in Summer banner, which makes it easier to build a team-building programme without hauling half the equipment along. The gondola up Szyndzielnia, the second-oldest cable car in the country, adds a strong mountain accent that ends with a panorama of the Beskids from the viewing tower.
Picnics by the water and mountain accents
For those who prefer the water, three Beskid reservoirs are within reach: Lake Zywiec, Lake Miedzybrodzkie and Lake Goczalkowickie. The nearest, with ready event facilities, is the centre in Tresna by Lake Zywiec, run by the Polish Yacht Club Bielsko, with a tavern, parking, accommodation and a regatta season. The shores of Lake Miedzybrodzkie add water sports, kayak hire and the Trollandia rope park with Zoolandia for the youngest.
Team-building is easy to enrich with a strong highland accent without leaving the area. The Cigan Forest, with its Enduro Trails and network of paths, is a natural base for woodland field games and bike rallies, while a walk to the Stefanka shelter below Kozia Gora ends with a barbecue under a shelter.
