Company picnics with a view of the bay
Gdynia is one of the few cities in Poland where a company picnic can be played out literally by the sea. Direct access to the Gulf of Gdansk, meadows in the coastal forests and ready-made outdoor stages give company picnics in Gdynia a character that cannot be recreated inland. We handle Gdynia comprehensively, from choosing the site, through the stage and catering, to entertainment for whole families.
We most often blend the team-building programme with the maritime backdrop of the Gulf of Gdansk: for many companies the panorama of the water and Baltic fish from the food trucks become the hallmark of the event. The most versatile base is Kolibki Adventure Park in Orlowo, on the border of Gdynia and Sopot, while greener, campfire-led settings lead us to Polanka Redlowska in the Kepa Redlowska reserve.
Kolibki Adventure Park: the whole programme in one location
Kolibki Adventure Park is a sprawling adventure park in Orlowo, tucked into the forest with a view of the bay, with dedicated picnic meadows and a covered zone that rescues the plan when the weather turns. In one place there is a high-ropes course with a Ninja track, ziplines, paintball, a shooting range, archery, mini quads and a climbing wall.
Because everything is on site, an entire team-building programme can run without moving people between locations. It is a solution that works equally well for an intimate department gathering and for a large family day.
Forest reserves and city parks: campfires and open-air events
When a company wants the atmosphere of greenery and a campfire, we head to Polanka Redlowska in the Kepa Redlowska reserve. This forest and seaside space with numerous fire pits provides natural scenery for a family picnic, and the pits are booked online through the city ZDiZ system. The green areas on Osada Rybacka street work similarly, among the most popular picnic spots in the city, with grills in the booking system too.
Park Kolibki itself, a municipal area with ponds and palace ruins, regularly hosts open-air events with a stage, fairs and food zones, so it lends itself well to larger public events. For representative, strongly maritime events we use the strip of land by the water along the Nowowiejski Seaside Boulevard, which comes alive in summer with concerts and culinary festivals.
Water on the bay and family attractions in the centre
The real distinction of a Gdynia picnic is the water. On the Bay of Puck, shallow and safe for beginners, we organise team-building on kayaks, SUP boards and under sail, as well as yacht cruises and regattas. It is an element we simply cannot add to a programme in a city far from the sea, and it pairs easily with orienteering runs and field games along the forest paths of Kepa Redlowska.
Gdynia handles the family variant exceptionally well. For picnics in the centre, attractions that instantly draw the youngest are within reach: the Gdynia Aquarium on the South Pier, the museum ships Dar Pomorza and the destroyer ORP Blyskawica moored at the Pomeranian Quay, playgrounds and easy cycling routes towards Babie Doly or Kolibki. A family day in Gdynia becomes not just a picnic but a small expedition through a city with a maritime identity.
Frequently asked
The most versatile choice is Kolibki Adventure Park in Orlowo, where meadows, a covered zone and a full set of activities are in one place, so the whole team-building runs without moving the group. When we want a campfire atmosphere and greenery, we head to Polanka Redlowska in the Kepa Redlowska reserve, and for representative events by the water we choose the Seaside Boulevard or the South Pier.
The picnic season on the bay usually runs from late spring to early autumn, when the full infrastructure of the beaches, pier and boulevard is open, and the Bay of Puck allows safe kayaking and paddleboarding. For early-spring and autumn dates we plan covered zones, such as the one at Kolibki, and part of the programme in the forest reserves, so the weather does not dictate the course of the day.
For picnics in the centre it is easy to add the Gdynia Aquarium, tours of the museum ships Dar Pomorza and ORP Blyskawica, and walks along the Seaside Boulevard. For the youngest, playgrounds and easy cycling routes towards Babie Doly or Kolibki work well, and for older children there are water activities on the bay and field games in the forests of Kepa Redlowska.
