Company picnics by the Sosina reservoir

In the very heart of the city we work on two sites with ready-made facilities. Park im. Lotnikow Polskich has a multi-purpose stage that hosts summer concerts, open-air cinema and the recurring Aviation Picnic - it is enough to add tents, sound and animation to create an intimate integration event in the centre. The modernised Park Podleze, in turn, offers pitches, shelters with benches, roller-skating tracks and plenty of open space, making it well suited to a picnic with many activity zones laid out side by side.

For teams looking for a striking setting we have Park Grodek, known as the Polish Maldives. The turquoise Wydra and Orka basins in former dolomite workings, a wooden footbridge, a viewing tower and a botanical garden create a scene that photographs beautifully and suits a smaller group. One must, however, keep in mind the arboretum's restrictions: swimming, camping and campfires are forbidden, and the status of a nature park does not lend itself to mass events, so we plan intimate gatherings and photo sessions here rather than a grand stage. We design events at Skwer Pszczelnik in a similarly intimate spirit, when a quieter green corner is needed.

Integration in Jaworzno gains when we add active modules to the picnic. The Velostrada, the first cycling motorway in Poland routed along a former railway, with a tunnel, footbridges and repair stations, allows us to organise a company rally linking districts and attractions. The Sports and Recreation Centre adds pitches, tennis courts and a pool for team tournaments, while the outdoor gyms and the street workout park become a zone for open-air competition. Nearby we reach for the Biala Przemsza valley with its boardwalks over marshes and kayaks, walks on the Bledow Desert and adrenaline outdoor modules - a rope park, paintball and quad bikes provided by regional operators.

The logistics of the outdoors is the area where we most often take the load off the client, and in Jaworzno each site dictates its own solutions. At Sosina we plan parking on the adjacent meadows and a catering zone by the amphitheatre, drawing on access to the beach and the rental that does not need bringing in. At GEOsfera we rely on the round-the-clock lighting of the quarry and the Sadowa Gora amphitheatre, so the stage and sound plug into existing facilities rather than being set up from scratch. At Park Lotnikow Polskich we add tents and shelters to the permanent stage against the rain, and at Podleze we spread grills and food trucks along the pitches and shelters so the catering and activity zones do not overlap.

The economic fabric of Jaworzno suggests the scale to which we design an outdoor event. The city grew up on energy and chemicals, and today adds furniture-making and logistics stretching along the A4 motorway and the Katowice Special Economic Zone sites - an environment of large employers who more often think of a several-thousand-strong family day than a gathering of a dozen people.

That is why at Sosina and GEOsfera we prepare mass scenarios with several zones at once, while Grodek, Pszczelnik and the Velostrada we reserve for smaller, movement-based formats for individual departments. Whatever the scale, we secure the event with tents and shelters against rain, so the day holds together regardless of the weather.
