Company picnics in Tychy most often unfold by Lake Paprocany, the largest and most popular open-air site in the city. The recreation centre managed by MOSiR offers a guarded sandy beach, a promenade, quiet walking and cycling lanes and sweeping green grounds where we set the stage, lay out entertainment zones and arrange the catering. Access to the beach and paths is free, and the centre has hosted large staff events from Tychy plants for years. On the opposite side of the reservoir lies the Wild Beach at Paprocany, a separate open-air site leased by the city with a year-round venue. The open, tree-lined space is ideal for a company picnic with extensive catering and a children's programme, when we want to separate the event zone from the public bathing area. By Paprocany we build the picnic programme from ready-made active zones. The watercraft hire offers kayaks, SUP boards and pedal boats, and beside it, along the MOSiR bathing area, there are football, beach volleyball and basketball courts as well as tennis courts, ideal for mini integration tournaments. Families with children are drawn to the free water playground with mini-fountains and paddling pools, while the rope park, with routes at several heights, blends team building with an attraction for younger participants.
The asphalt loop around the lake, running partly through forest, works as a recreational ride or a cycling contest. The open meadows by Paprocany and beside the Municipal Stadium let us set the stage away from the beach zone, while the proximity of the promenade and the MOSiR car parks makes it easy to bring in equipment and deliver catering to the event site.
Strong local accents and family attractions
Tychy likes strong, local accents, so we readily expand the picnic with Tychy distinctions. A tour with a tasting at the Tyskie Browarium, the museum of one of the oldest working breweries in the country, adds a cultural flavour for a corporate group. In the nearby Pszczyna Forest, in Jankowice, there is a showcase enclosure of Pszczyna-line bison with an educational trail, a natural attraction for families.
For a stronger dose of excitement we use the wooded stretches of the loop around Paprocany for outdoor paintball or painless laser tag, safe for children too. Every event in public space we register in advance with the Tychy City Hall, and for mass events we keep to suitably long lead times and arrangements with the services.
