Event Agency Rybnik a city of water and transformation

The name Rybnik comes from an old Polish fish pond, and the Rybnik Reservoir is often called the Rybnik Sea. This watery heart of the city gives open-air events a setting you would struggle to find in the industrial stereotype of Silesia. The lake is surrounded by the forests of the Rudy Wielkie landscape park, with beaches, marinas and paths running right along the waterside.

We use this natural base for team-building events and family picnics, where sailing, kayaking and barbecue zones fit naturally into the programme of a company day. The greenery of the Paruszowiec graduation tower and Kozie Gory park widens the repertoire to intimate gatherings among the trees, without ever leaving the city limits.

The historic Ignacy Mine in Niewiadom is a flagship example of successful post-mining regeneration, honoured with the Europa Nostra European Heritage Award. A working historic steam winding engine and a water tower converted into a viewing terrace create a backdrop that would work nowhere but Rybnik - raw, authentic and photogenic.

Rybnik is the core of the distinct, southern Rybnik Coal Basin, and today it is shifting from a coal monoculture towards gas-fired power and modern manufacturing. A grid-scale power plant and the construction of a combined-cycle gas unit gather a large workforce on the investment site and drive demand for in-house corporate events.
